About
Hi, I’m Greg. I make websites. I also make web a better place. One page at a time.
I’m a 25 year old web developer/designer based in lovely Poznan, Poland. By day I’m preaching and evangelizing web standards at Cognifide and by night I turn into pop-culture soaked photography, music and movie lover.
I have vast experience in delivering cutting edge user interface design and in agile development of accessible and valid web sites on various platforms including Java, ASP.NET, EpiServer and Ruby on Rails. But my true love lays within semantic HTML, clean CSS and heart touching JavaScript.
I’ve come a long way as a web developer and I’m proud of every step taken. I’ve been programming since I was eleven, and working with HTML since being fifteen. While studying Applied Computer Science on Adam Mickiewicz University I’ve taken great interest in cryptography, mainframe administration and quantum computing but my Master Thesis was purely web2.0 oriented.
This blog is my online center, a personal hub if you will. It consists of my professional and off-topic thoughts mixed together with other random stuff. Professional part is mainly front-end web development issues varying from in depth code analysis to more philosophical ramblings on valid web development itself. Personal part is just a bunch of thoughts that might get a bit of structure here, concerning stuff I get involved with like books, movies, music and photography.
