Upcoming action movies of 2008

It’s been some time since my last “upcoming movies of 2008″ post and so it is time to change that. Today I want to show you what I consider as action movies worth seeing in 2008.
Since it is action movies we are talking about let’s just jump right into business and check out my list of  upcoming action movies of 2008

Righteous Kill - this summer we will get something absolutely awesome Al Pacino and Robert De Niro together on screen. Last time that happened (Heat) it ended up with one of the best movie scenes in cinematic history. I am aiming high with tis one. Hope you will too. Trailer here

The International - We have Clive Owen, we have Naomi Watts and we have Tom Tykwer as a director. Story seems a little bit generic for me, but hey, check it out yourself “An Interpol agent (Owen) attempts to expose a high-profile financial institution’s role in an international arms dealing ring.

Eagle Eye - This will be awesomeness in its true form. Shia LaBeouf and Rosario Dawson are taking the leading roles here with D.J. Caruso (Disturbia) as a director. What else? Steven Speilberg. Yep, him, he wrote a story for the movie. New trailer for this is breathtaking. Trailer goodness.

James Bond 22 - last Bond was awesome. Daniel Craig really showed that he can play 007 in a good fashion ( and this is coming out of a guy who thinks the only Bond is Sir Sean Connery ). Storyline is a bit of a mystery now. Only thing - this will be a sequel to the last one.

Angels & Demons - not aiming high with this one but I liked  action packed first book and the movie didn’t suck THAT bad. Hoping just for a mind numbing fun.

RocknRolla - new movie from Guy Ritchie. As for me that is enough to be the first one to see this flick but I can imagine not everyone is such a hardcore fan as me so let’s get deeper into the movie. A bit of diferent set of actors this time: Gerard Butler, Jeremy Piven, Thandie Newton and Tom Wilkinson. No
Jason Statham this time. A good thing is that this movie is supposedly Ritchie’s return to true gangster films (didn’t know he left the genre, but good for him).

And this is it. Action movies that are definitely worth checking out in 2008. Seems like quite cool list. Definitely worth seeing.
